Swallows on a wire blue curve candle arch

Seeing swallows gathered on a telephone wire is a favourite summer sight for many.

Our blue glass candle arches are made with turquoise , copper blue and slate grey glass. After being fired for 24hrs, we screen print by hand our bird illustrations with enamel.

The glass is then returned to the kiln for a further 24hrs to be slumped ( take shape) over a mould. These create amazing reflections on a sunny window sill or radiate a warm glow with a candle.

Our handmade glass homeware pieces make lovely gifts and are all handmade in our Twice Fired glass studio in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
